Overview

When you need Nigeria document translation in Alberta

The Nigerian community around Calgary's energy industry has expanded quickly, and its document needs span both directions. Many records are already in English, so the work is often certified true copies and the professional translation of any non-English material for IRCC, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program and local employers. When documents are sent for use in Nigeria, offices there commonly require notarization, and papers issued abroad may need consular authentication before they are accepted. A file tied to a job offer or a family sponsorship can stall quickly if the certification does not meet those expectations.

Every certified document we prepare carries a signed accuracy statement and our stamp, accepted by IRCC, courts, employers and professional bodies in Alberta. Where the receiving office in Nigeria requires notarization or consular-ready authentication, we set the documents up accordingly, with sealed-envelope delivery available. It is all handled online across the province: upload a scan or photo, approve the quote, and receive your certified PDF by email with a stamped hard copy by Canada Post.

FAQ

Nigeria: common questions

My Nigerian documents are in English. Do I need a translation or a certified copy?
Usually a certified true copy is what you need for English-language records, along with certified translation of anything not in English. Send us your file and we will tell you which service applies to each document.
Can you certify WAEC or NECO result statements for use here?
Yes. We regularly prepare certified copies and, where any part is not in English, certified translations of WAEC and NECO results so universities and employers in Alberta can rely on them.
The office in Nigeria wants the document notarized. Can you do that?
We can. Notarized translation is available from CAD 99, and we can set up documents for consular authentication where a Nigerian authority requires it. Just note the requirement when you upload.
