A clear scan or a phone photo of every page of the document, including the reverse side when anything is printed on it — stamps, seals, endorsements and handwritten notes all form part of the translation. Originals are not required; we translate from your digital copy and place the certified translator's stamp on the printed set. If a page is cut off, blurred or shot at an angle, it slows the file down more than anything else, so it is worth re-taking the photo before you upload. Tell us the exact spelling of names as it appears in the passport you will use for the application, so that the translation matches the rest of your paperwork.
Regular certified translation is the standard product: signed and stamped by a qualified translator, and the version used for immigration files, most provincial and federal institutions, schools and colleges, Alberta Registries for a driver's licence, insurers and employers. It starts at $59 for one page. ATIA certified translation, from $99, is required only by courts and a limited set of official bodies — typically credential and licensing assessments such as AAIP, IQAS, APEGA, NNAS, PEBC or NDEB — and takes 2–4 days longer to process. Notarized translation, also from $99, is asked for mainly by foreign institutions and consulates. Pricing is per page of the source document, and any card-format document counts as one page. The minimum charge is $59 per language, which is why documents in two different languages are quoted separately even when they belong to the same person: a birth certificate plus three passport stamps in another language comes to $59 + $59 = $118. Passport stamps are $7 each when they are added to a larger order. Passports, business documents and non-standard material are quoted individually by a project manager.
