Manuals your crew can actually work from, in any language
Operating manuals, safety procedures, specifications and software documentation
translated by people who know the trade, with the same term on every page.
The translator is chosen by subject, not by who is free
A manual written for a maintenance crew and a protocol written for a laboratory are not the same kind of text. Each job goes to a translator who has read documents like yours before and knows what the wording has to do.
Energy and industrial
Operating and maintenance manuals, lockout procedures, inspection reports and equipment documentation for sites, plants and field crews across Alberta.
Construction and trades
Method statements, safety instructions, installation guides and material specifications, in the plain wording a crew on site can follow without a glossary.
IT and software
Product documentation, interface text, release notes and help articles, with code strings, variables and placeholders left exactly as they are.
Health, laboratory and research
Instructions for use, laboratory protocols, device manuals and research papers, handled with the precision these documents are read with.
One term, one translation, from the first page to the last
Before translation starts we pull the recurring terms out of your documents and agree the wording with you. That glossary then sits in translation memory, so the same part, the same procedure and the same warning read the same way in chapter nine as in chapter one, and again in the revision you send next year.
agreed
Nothing goes out after a single pass
A specialist, not a generalist
The person translating your document works in the field it comes from and recognises the terms without having to guess at them.
Glossary and translation memory
Agreed terms, units and product names are stored and reused, so wording stays identical through the set and through every later update.
A second pair of eyes
Another specialist reads the translation against the original and checks figures, tables, cross-references and numbering before it reaches you.
Charged by the word, so the quote is arithmetic
Technical documents are quoted per source word. You get the figure and the delivery date in writing before anyone starts, and a tight deadline does not change the rate.
Technical documents
If the document also has to be certified
From your file to a document you can hand out
Send the files
Upload them through the order form at any hour, or bring them to our Calgary office at 330 5 Ave SW.
Get the number
We count the words, look at the format and the deadline, and send back the price and the delivery date. Nothing starts until you agree to both.
Translation and review
A specialist translates against the agreed glossary, then a second one checks terminology, figures, units and cross-references.
Delivery
You receive the document in the original layout, with a signed certification statement when the receiving side asks for one.
Who sends us technical documents
Most of this work comes from Alberta industry: energy and service companies, contractors and equipment dealers, laboratories, manufacturers, colleges and training providers, mainly around Calgary and Edmonton but also from sites well outside both. The documents are operating and maintenance manuals, safety and lockout procedures, inspection and test reports, technical specifications, training material and software documentation.
Files can be sent through the order form at any hour or brought to the Calgary office on a weekday between 9:00 and 17:00. From twenty pages up we put a team on the job working from one shared glossary, so the wording holds across the whole set. If an Alberta body also needs the document certified, regular certified translation starts at $59 and is normally ready in 1–2 business days, while ATIA-certified translation starts at $99 and takes 2–5 business days. Prices are shown without 5% GST.
Before you send the manual
What does technical translation cost?
Will I get the document back in the same layout?
How do you keep one term from drifting across a long manual?
Does a technical document have to be certified?
Can you take a large set with a fixed deadline?
Send the document, get the number
Upload the file, tell us the target language and the deadline. You get a per-word quote, a delivery date and a clear answer on whether certification is needed at all.
